Over the last few months as more of you have been reading my blog, I have been receiving more questions via email and social media. I’ve answered one here on the blog and more in person and I’m really enjoying giving something back.
So today I am launching a new section on the blog called Ask Me Anything. If you want to know how I’ve shot a particular image, some advice on lighting, gear, Photoshop or Lightroom or anything photography related at all, fire me over a question. I’ll tackle the odd business or marketing question too. You can ask me here in the comments, on Twitter or Facebook or even email me.
Obviously, I’m not the first photographer to do this. Zack Arias did it very successfully, answering 1500 questions before moving on to his next project. So successfully in fact he’s turned some of his most popular answers into a book. It’s because of Zack Arias, Jared Polin, Chase Jarvis and all the other photographers giving back to the community that I am doing this. I may not have been doing this as long as Joe McNally, have the huge following that Scott Kelby does and I’m no Zack but I have learnt a thing or two along the way and I share their passion for helping the community and pushing photography forwards. If I can save someone from making the same mistakes I have, they can move on and make some mistakes of their own and hopefully share those with the community. After all, a rising tide lifts all boats so fire away and Ask Me Anything.
